- "A Summer Breeze" Arts In Motion at Kallaloo August 22, 2010

Hip and hypnotic as a soothing Caribbean rhythm, Arts In Motion teams up with local dining hot-spot Kallaloo, Sunday, August 22 to cook up a delicious coolness and beat the summer heat. This tasty fundraiser for the Rainier Valley's community school of the arts features live musical entertainment by AIM's talented students and faculty.
Show and Dinner Seatings, 5:30pm and 7:30pm
Tickets are available by calling Arts In Motion
$25 for adults and $13 for kids. Payment on day of event is $30/$15.

Congratulations to AIM's Youth Choir, Advanced Jazz Ensemble and the Shumba Youth Marimba Ensemble for their successful and vibrant performances at this years NW Folklife Festival. This 4-day event boasts performers from all over the Northwest and serves as a public forum where traditional and ethnic communities of artists of the Pacific Northwest can share and present their music, dance performances and crafts. Good job guys!
- Support A Student Scholarship Fundraiser! March 1-20, 2010

Arts In Motion students who have experienced the thrill of accomplishment are now giving back, helping other kids feel that same sense of accomplishment. All AIM students are actively involved in raising funds for our "Support A Student" scholarship drive. "Support A Student" will provide many eager students in the Rainier Valley the chance to study music and the arts, a precious gift!
AIM's goal is to raise $10,000 for the scholarship fund. March 20 is the "Support A Student" deadline. Participants collecting donations will also enjoy the spirit of fun and community associated with this scholarship drive. All participants will recieve a prize just for participating. The students that raise the most will have the chance to win gift certificates and even a Classic iPod!
AIM is making great things happen right now. Make your kind donations to Arts In Motion by March 20 and "Support A Student"!!

Calling all munchkins and people of Emerald City! AIM's ambitious Yellow Brick Road project needs help completing the colorful painting plan. We're painting a yellow brick road through the parking lot, from the front door to the street. Contact us for the date of the next work party.
