Arts In Motion presents Arts Alive! on Saturday, December 3 from 6pm - 8pm at Bethany United Church of Christ located at 6230 Beacon Ave S. Come and enjoy a fun, family concert featuring classical & sing along holiday music. A great way to get the holiday season started and support the arts in Rainier Valley! A “pay what you can†donation accepted. Reception following.

Join us for Friday Nights Out from 6pm - 9pm. Held here at AIM on December 2, 9, 16, 2011 & January 6 & February 3, 2012. Pre-K through 5 graders get a supervised night of fun artistic/musical or movin' creative seasonal activities. Parents get a night out (or off!). Shop, dine, catch a movie, or just relax without the kids for a night! Spaces are limited. Visit or call our office to register. The cost of admission is by donation. Snacks are served.

Join us the first Friday of each month from 6pm - 9pm for an evening of fun and entertainment. Kindergarten - 5th grade kids get a supervised night of fun artistic/musical or movin' creative seasonal activities. Partents get a night out (or off!) to take time for themseves.

Join Arts In Motion for Rhythm of the Rainforest, our 1st annual costume party and fundraiser. The Rhythm of the Rainforest costume party fundraiser is happening on Saturday Oct 29th, 2011 at Tukwila Community Center. We are having a ball organizing the yummy global cuisine, the exotic decor and the exciting prizes. Have you bought your tickets yet? The whole family is welcome and we have family discounts. Our younger guests will be welcome to join our arts playroom. There are prizes for the best costume. Oh and you will also be encouraged to join everyone on the dance floor with both Marimba and jazz bands to entertain.

AIM hosts a Community Arts Fair and open house in our own "backyard" on Saturday, September 17 from 11am - 2pm. Mini classes, art booths, debut of summer student created film, face painting, performances, bounce house, yard & plant sale, food, fun for the entire family!
This event is a great way to learn about our programs and meet our teachers. The proceeds go to support our scholarship fund.

Arts In Motion has a kids table planned from 3:30-5:30pm at Columbia City Farmer's Market! We will be painting faces, creating spin art and felt crafts and having fun with stamps. We hope to have some artists around the market sketching the scenery too!

Part One: Hip-Hop, "The Experience"
Arts In Motion community school of the arts will present Arts Alive! at Van Asselt Community Center Feb 11, 6-8pm, the first in an interactive series of music, art and dance presentations free to the public. Arts Alive! events are created to be instructive, engaging and entertaining. Hip-hop, "The Experience" features presentations and audience participation centered on Rap and Spoken Word, Graffiti Art, Break-dance and movement; the very seeds of provocative street poetry emerging from within a cultural context of social commentary and expression. All in the community are welcome to come enjoy, learn and become inspired by these free music, art and dance presentations.
