(AIM) has
served over 2,500 children and youth in

From its free community classes and
concerts, to its 2nd line drum
corps, summer art
camps, and youth internships, AIM is serving
children,
youth, adults, families and the entire

AIM is helping people of all ages
grow and realize their aspirations.

Arts in
Motion Offers These Programs
Free Creative Classes
for the Community
Through these hands-on classes, children are led through
adventures into the joys of the arts, where they explore creativity,
imagination and initiative.
Music, Art, Dance
Lessons and Classes
A year-round comprehensive arts education is offered at
our
voice, visual arts and creative dance. Activities at our
Free Concerts for the
Community
Faculty and students provide free concerts and
exhibitions at libraries, senior centers, fairs and other venues throughout the
year. These off-site programs are
another way that AIM strengthens its bonds with the community.
In-School Arts
Education
AIM serves over 750 children (Gr. K-8) through its Arts
in the Schools program. This program,
offered as part of the curriculum day at
After-School Arts
Education at Elementary Schools & Community Organizations
AIM offers
a Multicultural Arts Program (Gr. K-5) that utilizes several class components:
Folk Storytelling, Singing, World Rhythm, Creative Dance and World Art. The components can be mixed and matched
– each one is a separate class that can stand on its own or be joined to
form a final performance; as a presentation for the school, parents (PTSA or
PTA), or as one of AIM’s combined school performances to the larger
community. Through these art activities, AIM partners with schools to help
engage parents and the community as active participants in the school’s
arts programs.
Children’s Choir
Children from
in-school elementary and after-school programs have opportunity to receive
training and perform throughout the Valley through this choir program. Several times each year, these choirs come
together to perform as a mass choir in the greater
Summer Art Camp
Children spend a week or longer exploring different
aspects of music, art, and dance.
Children in grades K-6 participate in different art disciplines and
projects each day, building skills and patience as they take projects from
concept to creation. Each week presents
different projects.
Youth Internship
Middle and High School students are given an opportunity
to contribute to their community, developing leadership skills, mentoring
students and doing volunteer work with Arts in Motion programs.
