As Southeast Seattle's community school of the arts, AIM fills a vital need. We are a completely grassroots organization providing the highest quality in-school and after-school music, visual arts, drama and dance classes and lessons. However, tuition fees and school contracts alone cannot cover the full cost of operations. In order to sustain and improve our generous financial aid program, and numerous free concerts and exhibitions, charitable donations are a critical component of our success.
Arts In Motion seeks investments from a diverse spectrum of individuals, foundations, corporations, government agencies and community organizations. We value every gift, whether it is $10 or $10,000, as an investment in our shared vision for all children to have the freedom to explore, develop, and succeed in life.
National studies have found that arts programs such as AIM decrease involvement in delinquent behavior, increase academic achievement and improve at-risk youth's attitudes about themselves and their future.
U.S. Dept. of Justice studies back that up, showing that at-risk students involved in programs like Arts In Motion demonstrate improved social and interpersonal skills, self-esteem and self-efficacy. And youth participation in music and art studies results in their greater self-discipline and reduced crime rates.
Our goal is to create a community that sustains the creative life we all need.
Individual support is critical to the sustainability and vitality of Arts In Motion. Dozens of individual donors have invested in AIM's mission since our inception, and every year new and returning donors help us meet the growing demand for high quality arts learning opportunities for our at-risk youth.

Workplace Giving & Matching
Donating through your employer's workplace giving program is one of the easiest ways to give to Arts In Motion. These programs allow you to designate any donation level to be automatically deducted from your payroll check. Many companies also offer matching contributions for charitable donations. If Arts In Motion is not listed in your company's list of charitable organizations, please contact us.

Gifts of appreciated stock can provide tax savings at the same time you make your gift to Arts In Motion.
