Learning in a group setting is a great way to take your playing to the next level. Our performance ensembles give you experience being in front of an audience and learning the tools to “play well with others”. Become the kind of musician others want to play with!

Brass Ensemble - Beg./Int./Adv.Grades 4 - Adult

Brass ensemble is available to all levels interested in gaining group performance experience. Mixed brass instruments come together and learn music from a variety of periods and styles.

Community BandGrade 5 - Adult

Come get your chops in shape! Experience elation and excitement of community band perfomance. The band will perform songs from a variety of genres as well as multi-cultural and original material.

Community Youth Choir Grades 1 - 4
NO AUDITIONS-ALL WELCOME!

Children will experience the joy and excitement of choral music and performance, learning vocal and stage technique, practical microphone use and control, dynamics, stylization, movement and performance skills. The choir will learn songs from a wide spectrum of genres to include contemporary, traditional, jazz, blues, show tunes as well as multi-cultural and original material.

Jazz Ensemble - Advanced Grade 6 - Adult

Join in the fun of jazz, pop, rock and world music and learn performance & solo techniques. All instruments are welcome. Participation requires basic instument competence, music reading, knowledge of key signatures and scales. Participants will perform with the faculty's ensemble doing professional gigs in the community. Individuals must also be studying privately. Informal audition with instructor.

Marimba Ensemble - AdvancedYouth & Adult

Ensembles play a variety of marimbas: soprano, tenor, baritone, bass, and hosho or gourd shakers. The marimbas are handcrafted. The keys are fine tuned to reflect the tones played in African societies. Each key sits above a resonator with a vibrating membrane to amplify the sound and add a unique "buzz" to the music. Informal audition with instructor.
